Deliberative Inclusionary Processes (DIPs) is a category embracing all processes through which a wide variety of (ideally "all") interests, perspectives or stakeholders in a situation areengaged in a Deliberation seeking win/win approaches to the situation.
This concept comes from Participatory environmental policy processes: experiences from North and South by Tim Holmes and Ian Scoones, Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Sussex, UK (2000) which describes 19 Deliberative Inclusionary Processes (DIPs) around the world and how power relations and institutional contexts critically affect their outcomes. It includes 35 case studies.
