I have been a practicing attorney for many years, hoping to improve the world through our judicial and legislative systems. Because progress was slow, I began searching for ways to help people "be the change they want to see in the world" and find their "root causes of success". During this quest, I became a certified, Co-active Coach*, mediator and group facilitator, all of which allow people to be heard, dream big and implement their wishes and desires through partnership and collaboration. The most delicious piece has been adding Appreciative Inquiry to help people use their strengths and successes to forge their future. I work with people and organizations who focus on improving the triple bottom line * economic, social and environmental. In addition to facilitating organizational change through Appreciative Inquiry, I am presently offering a six-month coaching program to individuals and small businesses which combines my background in Co-active Coaching* and Appreciative Inquiry. Co-active coaching begins with the premise that clients are whole, complete and resourceful * and would benefit from some expert guidance in envisioning and implementing their hopes and dreams. The central principle of Appreciative Inquiry is that you move in the direction you focus on. When you train your attention on recollections and images of your competencies, strengths, best practices and preferred future, you move rapidly into action consistent with this positive focus. By combining co-active coaching and appreciative coaching, the best tools, models, resources and perspectives of both techniques become available and synergistic. I have also created a small nonprofit resource, The Safety Net Project, which offers a workbook called "Love Heals: The Patient-Caregiver Guide to Building A Strong Support Team" and workshops for patients, caregivers and healthcare providers. I can be reached through or at 925-377-8820.

The Bohm Dialogue, especially Collective Reflection has significance for me in terms of artistic critique and dialogue.

If one wanted to connect this to Jungian thought I'd relate to that.
