HealingOurPlanetEarth is our only HOPE!

And my hope for this page is, also, that NCDD members & many others will use this page to see where we agree about the best ways for us, individually, to work on healing our planet earth. This project has been a dream of mine for some time. I see little hope in adversarial methods. They tend to divert our energies into power struggles & waste the wisdom of the *losers*. I hope this page will create a needed space for non-adversarial folks to pool our great ideas & resolve our differences by seeking the reality behind our ideas.

Wisdom is an elusive resource. We all have some, but none of us can ever tell if our ideas are truly wise until after we have put them to the test.

The idea I want to test here is that every experience has valuable lessons for those with open minds&hearts. Every experience is an encounter with reality. Even though we are all immersed in the same reality, we may not all learn the same lessons from our experiences. Luckily for us, even though we can*t change our experiences, we can change what we learn from them. The past is fixed; the future is flexible, if we stay open!

It is hard for us to stay open. Our survival depends on our ability to attenuate our arrogance so we can collaborate in resolving our disagreements without being disagreeable!

I have no hope of eliminating disagreements, but I have great hope that (if we can successfully abandon arrogance & be all-inclusive in our respect for life) we*ll have enough earthmates on the look out for creative solutions to the dangers to our common well-being, that needed healing will occur. Let*s look for local solutions to global difficulties!

By now you may have guessed that my first candidate for change is the kind of arrogance that lets us believe that those who advocate solutions different from ours are wrong. Once we start welcoming disagreements (as wonderful opportunities to harmonize our solutions with real reality) we*ll be well on our way to globalocal health.

I'd like to add the words to one of my songs. They express one of my recipes for Healing our planet earth. If you like to sing (& if you know the tune of the Russian folksong "Meadowland"), my words were made to fit that tune: Ways that are different need to have an explanation, so when we differ, let us talk & listen; let us always try to understand! When conflicts divide us, let's deep-SEE dive into our hearts so we can find the cause of all our deep divisions & quickly try to heal them with loves strands! Let's know what our needs are. Let's not confuse them with desires! Let's make sure to get enough to serve all life well; curb our greed & try to stay uncrammed!

The Bohm Dialogue, especially Collective Reflection has significance for me in terms of artistic critique and dialogue.

If one wanted to connect this to Jungian thought I'd relate to that.
