Organizing Candidate Evaluation Panel

How many people to organize?

Time required:

A Citizen Deliberative Council that evaluates candidates for public office, making inclusive "We the People" recommendations available to voters through Voter Information Booklets, websites, news reports, etc.

Candidate Evaluation Panels interview candidates directly and/or review their past performance or voting records. Ned Crosby's Jefferson Center has held a couple of successful Citizen Jury of this type. John Gastil recommends that candidates' names be listed on the ballot in the order of their rating by such a Citizen Panel.

Proposals for carrying out such panels are given in Ned Crosby's Healthy Democracy'' (Beaver's Pond Press, 2003) and John Gastil's ''By Popular Demand (University of California, 2000).

The Bohm Dialogue, especially Collective Reflection has significance for me in terms of artistic critique and dialogue.

If one wanted to connect this to Jungian thought I'd relate to that.
